Willara House is centrally located in the Spring Hill area of Brisbane (UBD Map 2 F13). This area once was a focal point in the history of Brisbane where many evidences still remain today of colonial times. The Old Mill, where the convicts once ground flour for the colony, makes a striking landmark in Wickham Terrace, which is only a 200 metre walk away.

There is easy access to all transport services. Taxi ranks are just around the corner from the Willara House front door. Central Railway Station, where trains connect to many suburban areas of Brisbane, is just a short 5 minute walk.

The Transit Centre, located in Roma Street is also only a short taxi ride. The Transit Centre is a terminal for suburban, country and interstate trains and buses. Buses and trains regularly depart for the domestic and international air terminals which is approximately 30 minutes away. Adjacent to the Transit Centre are the Roma Street Parklands which feature a large lagoon, waterfalls, a rainforest and many species of colourful tropical and subtropical plants. Many hours can be enjoyed in this beautifully landscaped garden right in the heart of the city.

River ferries and cruises depart from the Riverside Centre only about ten minutes walk from Willara. A cruise on the City Cat or a ferry to Southbank is always enjoyable. For the more energetic, Southbank is about a thirty minute walk through the picturesque Botanic Gardens and a stroll over the Goodwill Pedestrian Bridge, named after the Goodwill Games which were hosted recently in Brisbane.

The Queen Street Mall, one of Brisbane’s brightest shopping spots, is just a few blocks from Willara. It is a great place to meet friends at the many coffee shops and restaurants. The Mall is a shopper’s paradise with many large department stores offering great end of season sales. Street marches, fashion parades, promotions, buskers and performers are always there to entertain.

With the company of new-found friends and many of Brisbane’s attractions virtually at your doorstep, your stay at Willara House is certain to be an enjoyable and memorable time of your life.
